Who we are

The United Nations Country Team in Democratic People’s Republic of Korea ensures inter-agency coordination and decision-making at the country level. The main purpose of the Country Team is for individual agencies to plan and work together to ensure the delivery of tangible results. The UNCT is committed to assisting the Government in its efforts to improve the quality of life of the people and ensure sustainable development.

    The UN Resident Coordinator is the designated representative of the Secretary-General to the Head of State or Government. The RC coordinates UN operational activities to ensure alignment and effective delivery of UN assistance.
